Bottom line. Choose HubSpot if marketing is the growth engine (content, inbound, fast time-to-value). Choose Creatio if your business runs on structured processes (multi-step approvals, regulated workflows, BPM-grade automation). The pricing gap is also material at scale: a 100-user mid-market deployment lands at ~$108K/year on Creatio Enterprise with Sales vs $200K–$400K+/year on HubSpot Enterprise with Sales, Service, and Marketing hubs combined (plus ~$14K first-year onboarding). Below is the full version, written from inside both platforms.
We are a Creatio specialist firm and have been for over a decade, with 10 marketplace products and 50+ implementations behind us as the technical partner to other firms. We have a preference, and we are open about it.
We have also worked with HubSpot, helped clients evaluate the two side by side, and told prospects to stay on HubSpot when their business shape did not justify a switch. Either platform fails when forced into the wrong job.
This is the comparison we walk clients through when both platforms are on the table: specific, and grounded in real implementations rather than feature checklists.
Why This Comparison Exists#
HubSpot and Creatio target overlapping buyers but were built around different first principles.
HubSpot started as an inbound-marketing platform (content tools, SEO, blogging, social management) and added CRM, sales tools, and service tools as the company expanded. The marketing DNA is still visible in every part of the product.
Creatio started as a business process management platform (visual process design, multi-step automation, BPMN execution) and added CRM on top. The BPM engine is still the load-bearing wall.
These are not interchangeable architectures. The right answer depends on what your business actually does for a living.
Where HubSpot Wins#
We start here because a comparison that skips the other side’s strengths is not worth your time.
Inbound marketing tooling#
HubSpot is the most complete inbound-marketing platform in the mid-market. The blog tools, SEO recommendations, content optimization, social scheduling, landing pages, forms, and email marketing are tightly integrated and genuinely best-in-class. If your company’s growth strategy is “publish good content, rank for it, capture demand from search and social,” HubSpot is the best platform we have seen for executing that strategy.
Free tier and starter friction#
HubSpot has a free CRM tier that is unusually capable, plus Starter tiers across the hubs that are reasonably priced. Small teams can get real value out of HubSpot without committing to a serious budget. The onboarding experience is also unusually self-serve: most small teams can be live in days rather than weeks.
CMS Hub and integrated website#
HubSpot CMS Hub lets you run your marketing website on the same platform as your CRM, with deep integration between content and contact data. For B2B companies whose website is a primary lead source, this is a real architectural advantage. Creatio does not compete here.
HubSpot Academy and community#
The HubSpot Academy is the strongest free education program we have seen in the CRM space. Free certifications, deep curriculum, active community. For organizations that want to upskill their team into the platform without paying a vendor for training, this is genuine value.
Brand recognition with marketing teams#
When you tell a marketing leader “we use HubSpot,” they know what it is. They probably have certifications in it. The talent pool of HubSpot-fluent marketers is large and easy to hire from.
Where Creatio Wins#
A real BPM engine#
This is the single biggest differentiator. HubSpot workflows handle linear automation well: drip emails, simple deal-stage transitions, internal Slack notifications. They do not handle multi-step processes with parallel branches, sub-process calls, timer-based escalations, role-based task assignment, or auditable end-to-end execution. Creatio’s BPM engine does, natively, configured visually.
If your business runs on structured processes (quote-to-cash with multiple approvers, regulatory submissions, SLA-driven service operations), Creatio handles them as first-class objects. HubSpot makes you bolt them together with workflows, custom code, and external automation tools.
Customization depth via Creatio Studio#
Creatio Studio is a full no-code application development environment. You can build custom objects, page layouts, business rules, dashboards, and complete workflow applications without writing code. HubSpot has custom objects and workflows, but the customization ceiling is lower: at scale you end up extending HubSpot through the API, with code, in ways that look more like building on HubSpot than building in HubSpot.
Pricing that doesn’t scale on contact volume#
HubSpot Marketing Hub is priced by marketing-contact count. A B2B company with 5,000 contacts pays close to the headline price. The same company with 100,000 contacts pays many multiples of it. Creatio licenses by user rather than by contact, so growth in your audience does not balloon your CRM bill.
For B2B companies whose marketing strategy targets large total addressable markets, like manufacturing or pharma, this matters more than the per-user rate.
Industry depth in process-heavy verticals#
Creatio has invested in vertical capability for financial services, manufacturing, pharma, and franchise operations, sectors where regulated workflows, compliance audit trails, and multi-step approvals are baseline requirements. HubSpot serves these industries but does not lead in them.
Total cost of ownership at scale#
For a 100-user deployment with Sales, Service, and Marketing capability in scope, the licensing gap between Creatio Enterprise and HubSpot Enterprise typically runs $90,000 to $290,000 per year, and the gap widens with each additional 10,000 marketing contacts.

The Pricing Reality#
This is the section that surprises most teams comparing the two.
HubSpot’s list prices are published per hub, per seat type, per tier. The figures below come off HubSpot’s own pricing pages, read in July 2026:
| Hub | Professional | Enterprise | Onboarding (Pro / Ent) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales Hub | $90 / sales seat / mo | $150 / sales seat / mo | $1,500 / $3,500 |
| Service Hub | $100 / service seat / mo | Quote only | $1,500 / $3,500 |
| Marketing Hub | $800 / mo, 2,000 contacts, 3 seats | $3,600 / mo, 10,000 contacts, 5 seats | $3,000 / $7,000 |
Three things about that table are worth saying plainly, because most comparison articles get them wrong.
Service Hub Enterprise has no list price. HubSpot moved it to custom pricing. Anyone quoting you a per-seat figure for it, including the earlier version of this page, is guessing.
Marketing contact overage is not published either. Marketing Hub Enterprise includes 10,000 contacts; beyond that HubSpot directs you to sales. Trade sources put additional blocks at roughly $100 per 10,000 contacts per month, but that is not a number HubSpot stands behind on its pricing page, so treat it as an unknown in your model rather than a line item.
Seats are not one thing. A sales seat and a core seat are different products at different prices, and the extra-core-seat rate is itself tier-dependent, at $45 a month on Marketing Professional and $75 on Marketing Enterprise. A 100-person company almost never needs 100 full seats, so the shape of your seat mix moves the total more than the headline rate does.
For a mid-market B2B running Sales Enterprise across 50 reps, a Service team, and Marketing Enterprise at 10,000 contacts, the published lines alone come to $90,000 for Sales plus $43,200 for Marketing. That is around $133,000 a year before Service Hub, before contact overage, before extra core seats, plus $14,000 of first-year onboarding across the three hubs. Realistic all-in totals land in the $200,000 to $400,000+ range, with the spread driven almost entirely by the two numbers HubSpot will not publish. Bundled “Customer Platform” pricing discounts this, but not by an order of magnitude.
Creatio Enterprise + Sales (100 users):
- ($75 platform + $15 Sales module)/user/month × 100 = $108,000 per year
- Adding Marketing and Service takes it to $144,000, still under the HubSpot low end
- No per-contact metering, no API call meters, no sandbox surcharges, no onboarding fees
- Contracts carry a $10,000 annual minimum on a standard three-year term
Over a five-year period, the licensing gap alone is $460,000 to $1.46M, before factoring HubSpot’s contact-volume scaling. For organizations where that is a material number relative to total tech spend, the comparison stops being subtle.
For a deeper view of Creatio’s pricing structure, see Creatio Pricing in 2026. Two HubSpot lines carry no published rate at all: Service Hub Enterprise seats, and contact overage past the included block. Treat any total you build as a floor rather than an estimate until HubSpot quotes you both. Bring us your seat mix and contact volume and we will price both sides against it.
When to Choose HubSpot#
Weigh these scenarios before you decide.
- Inbound marketing is the growth engine. If most of your pipeline comes from content, SEO, social, and inbound demand capture, HubSpot’s marketing tooling will outperform Creatio’s. This is HubSpot’s home turf and it is excellent at it.
- You are a small or growing team. Under ~50 users with a low-five-figure marketing contact count, HubSpot’s pricing is competitive and the time-to-value is unmatched. Free and Starter tiers do real work.
- You need a CMS and CRM in one platform. If your marketing website needs deep integration with your CRM data (personalized content, gated assets, lifecycle email tied to web behavior), HubSpot CMS Hub is purpose-built for this and Creatio is not.
- Your sales cycle is short and transactional. For self-serve B2B SaaS, short-cycle agency work, and ecommerce-adjacent motions, HubSpot’s lighter sales process model fits cleanly.
- You have minimal back-office process complexity. If your CRM does not need to drive multi-step approvals, regulated workflows, or operational automation outside the sales team, HubSpot’s workflow tools are sufficient.
When to Choose Creatio#
- You need CRM and serious BPM in one platform. If your business runs on structured processes (multi-stage quote-to-cash, regulatory submissions, audit-trailed approvals), Creatio handles these natively and HubSpot does not.
- You are mid-market with 100+ users. Creatio’s per-user pricing scales linearly. HubSpot’s pricing accelerates faster than user count once you cross the Enterprise threshold and start paying for contact volume.
- Your industry is process- or compliance-heavy. In financial services, manufacturing, pharma, healthcare, and franchise operations, Creatio’s vertical depth and BPM rigor outperform HubSpot’s marketing-first orientation.
- You want deep customization without rebuilding on the API. Creatio Studio handles configuration that would require HubSpot custom code or external tooling. The result is a platform your business team can extend without waiting on developers.
- You have a large marketing contact database. If you market to tens or hundreds of thousands of contacts, HubSpot’s contact-volume pricing model becomes a meaningful cost over time. Creatio’s per-user model does not change as your contact list grows.
Our Take#
We specialize in Creatio because, after working with multiple platforms over more than a decade, we believe it is the best fit for mid-market companies that need real CRM and real process automation in one platform. That covers most of our clients, though not all of them.
If your business is fundamentally a marketing-led SaaS, an agency, or a content-driven B2B company where inbound is the growth engine and back-office process complexity is low, HubSpot is probably the better choice, and we will tell you that on the fit call rather than try to fit your business into a Creatio shape it does not need.
If your business runs on structured processes, regulated workflows, or large mid-market sales operations, Creatio is the platform built for that work. HubSpot can be made to do parts of it, at higher cost and with workarounds, while Creatio does it natively.
The real test is what your CRM has to run, rather than what it has to store.
